Inspired Friday ~ White & Romance

Having just returned from Houston where I helped my lovely little sister pick out wedding dresses (& being really inspired by it), we are going to do something different here at Primed4Design every Friday.

So each Friday we will take an inspiration ~ a gorgeous dress, a photo, a piece of art, a texture, anything really ~ and find home/decor images that reflect the inspiration.

The wonderful thing about interior design and decorating is that it is influenced by culture, fashion, history, nature, trends and just about anything in life. Influences for creativity are all around you to bring into your home.

We hope you enjoy this new feature, and have a feeling we will really enjoy doing it each week for you!

Inspiration:

{Dress from Oscar de la Renta Spring 2011 Bridal Collection}

This Dress is everything romantic, vintage, pure, classic and understated all rolled into one. If you want to bring a bit of understated romantic/vintage taste into your home, the images below will hopefully spark some ideas. Happy Decorating!

{Decor}ation:

{White Lace Duvet Cover}

{White Flower 20x20 Pillow by Sivaana}

Art Smart ~ Seams Gorgeous

The elegant simplicity of this tall slip cast bottle from Taylor Ceramics reminds me of old milk glass and country antiques. I just love the black seams that go down the side. Understated, it will look just amazing with fresh flowers or without. Pair it with a few brightly colored glass vases for a fun, vibrant grouping to your table.

Dandy Chandy Tuesday ~ Retro Glamour

Being down here in Miami really gets me thinking about retro glamour. When I buy a place of my own down here, I would put this very feminine, retro purple chandelier from Neiman Marcus in my bedroom with this very masculine wallpaper over at 2modern by Graham & Brown. It's the perfect mix of masculine & feminine, retro and glamour!
